Aardvark.
UI design for a music news publishing website.

Project overview.
Aardvark was a personal project that I created whilst completing a 4-week UI Design course with DesignLab in 2017. The course covered many aspects of UI Design including interactive patterns, branding, visual hierarchy, colour theory, typography, iconography, micro-interactions and UI prototyping.
This concept design formed the basis of bringing together learnings from each of the modules in the course into one single project.
Below is a selection of the work produced during the course.
Visual hierarchy.
Content design, responsive grid and layout system.

Style guide.
Colour, typography, iconography and common element design.

Final UI.
Bringing everything together.

Prototyping micro-interactions.
Finally, I prototyped micro-interactions using Flinto to display how the UI would react and provide feedback to the user based on their behaviours and interactions. Watch the screen recording below to see the prototype in action.
